Sirana Software Announces Release of Sirana AppReports, Joins NetIQ Technology Partner Program

REDMOND, WA — October 14, 2003 —Sirana Software announced today the release of Sirana AppReports for NetIQ Marshal, a reporting, monitoring and management component that integrates NetIQ’s AppManager and NetIQ Marshal content security solutions. Sirana Software also announced that it joined the NetIQ . Technology Partner Program.

Sirana AppReports is an add-in to NetIQ AppManager that allows administrators to manage their NetIQ Marshal content security servers throughout the enterprise from the AppManager console. Sirana AppReports provides enhanced availability and performance management, as well as monitoring and reporting for NetIQ MailMarshal SMTP, NetIQ MailMarshal for Exchange, NetIQ WebMarshal and NetIQ imMarshal for MSN.

Enhanced Content Security

Sirana AppReports enhances the monitoring and reporting provided by the NetIQ Marshal products in several ways:

• Sirana’s TrafficWatch reports continually monitor email traffic, alerting administrators to unusual patterns that could indicate a denial of service attack or virus outbreak.
• Spam Cost reports project the cost of spam for an organization, using data collected from the organization’s email traffic and a spam cost model developed by industry analyst firm Ferris Research.
• Sirana AppReports monitors the availability and responsiveness of all of the NetIQ Marshal services, maintaining high availability for critical systems.

The relationship will enable Sirana Software to support future versions of the NetIQ Marshal solutions, and to provide even greater integration for NetIQ customers.
